International Tax Service Provider
TaxModel is a global TaxTech provider that designs, develops and utilizes tax software to facilitate and improve companies’ overall tax control framework. TaxModel is Dutch based and was founded by Hank Moonen in 2005, with the mission to make tax technology a commodity for every tax professional. The powerful combination of innovative self-created technology and tax expertise enables TaxModel to offer in-house tax support to multinationals and tax advisory firms, both on the basis of subscription and project. Among the 80+ customers are global tax service providers and large, medium and small cap multinationals.
TaxModel works very closely with their clients. To add value and provide sustainable change, we prefer to work at the premises of clients, but we mainly work from our office in Den Bosch.
Being a TaxTech company means that the mission is to build and improve innovative tax technology, by combining IT and tax expertise. At TaxModel we do that by working as a team. That team currently exists of around 20 colleagues: roughly 50% of them being IT experts. Everyone contributes and together we improve the team, the products and services, as well as you as an individual.
As part of our team, it is important that you know your way with any international tax related item that could come up in a multinational environment and approach these using our technology. This can range from managing direct tax matters (e.g. transfer pricing, tax reporting, WHT, etc.) and assisting in tax audits but also coordination regarding VAT and custom matters.
Of course, with your keen interest in tax technology you will support our technical sales. You will first be trained to operate all our software solutions and assist on the functional testing of newly developed tools. As soon as you understand the basics of our solutions you will start working for several multinational clients mainly headquartered in Europe as well as be involved in trainings and trials of our software clients and prospects. This means that your main tasks and responsibilities will be varied, including:
- Contribute to improving the tax software.
- Use TaxModel’s software to manage and prepare TP and tax accounting tax related workstreams.
- Help demonstrate and train tax professionals to our software solutions.
- Provide support and/or guidance to the clients’ (financial) staff in all kinds of tax related questions.
- Learn on the job. Not only by working together with colleagues but also with multinational clients and/or external tax advisers.
- Communicate and attend meetings with internal and external parties; clients, colleagues, local tax authorities and external tax advisers.
Ideally you have a Master degree in tax or economics, and you have gained some work experience in the field of taxation, ideally working as in-house for a multinationals or part of the ITS team of a big 4 or mid accounting firm. You have excellent writing and communication skills in English, and Dutch is an advantage but not a must.
You are a problem solver and keen to develop tax services around innovative technology. TaxModel is ambitious, eager and gives you flexibility, which we also expect from you. You are ready to face the challenges related to working with software that is being developed, and to contribute to this in an everchanging environment. You want to extend your commercial antenna and further improve your social skills. You like to travel every now and then, and in the Netherlands you work at the office in Den Bosch.
